Really good breakfast variety that caters to diverse tastes.
My room was much smaller than I expected, unexpected since the previous stay had been more spacious. The noise from the street below made it difficult to sleep, especially with the window open. I encountered an issue with the city tax payment at checkout that was not communicated at check-in, leaving me feeling unsettled about the charges.

Newish Hotel, room was clean & comfortable. Fair walk ... but not too far from Train station & buses. No restaurant for evening meals at this Hotel but regular shuttle service to nearby restaurant, with good menu & reasonable pricing. Good breakfast was included in the price. Young man on reception in afteroon was very helpfull & printed off train timetables for me for the next days activities. Similarly shuttle lady was pleasant and helpfull. But see negative comment re check-in below.
As a long distance traveller I requested an early check-in with my booking, and not having received a reply to the contary assumed this would be the case. Normal check-in was 2 pm at this Hotel and I arrived at arround 11.30 am. The man on reception said an early check-in was impossible, I asked if I could wait an hour or so for a room but was told no. I could leave my bags but would have to go away and return after 2pm. After 32 hours of travel from New Zealand, this is the last thing one wants to hear, one really just wants to crash on a bed for a few hours. The next morning the same man was on reception and I asked if he could print off a Train timetable, but he said no I could see the timtable up on the boards in the station. When I told him I wasnt prepared to walk all the way to the station to find a train timetable, he reluctantly printed one off for me.

I don't like hotel martini. I never met this kind of rude staff. This hotel says 3 stars, but its 1 star or less. And extremly expensive for 3 stars... The highwayhotel with half price and 2 stars was much much better and nicer than this. It was awful !
They are really unwelcome and really expnsive. Not recommend to anyone !!!

The extensive breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great variety of hot and cold options, including fresh fruit and pastries.
We faced some confusion regarding the city tax payment, which required an additional payment upon checkout despite it having been discussed at check-in.

The hotel was in an average location and did present real value for the rate charged. Staff was polite and friendly
the location was a 10 Euro cab ride from anywhere.

missingWrote a review on 27 Octsmall roomunexpected charges
The room was shockingly small and disappointing. I had to put up with street noise all night, then found out at checkout that more charges had been snuck in. As a special guest, i really expected some sort of welcome gift or complimentary upgrade, but that was obviously too much to ask for.

This hotel is very close to the train station. A good complimentary service bus to and return from Arena for Opera.
The staff were very off hand and thought it was more important to finish their social conversations with colleagues than to attend to guests....and a smile every now and again would be nice.......Come on Guys...I know you can smile!!...give it a try!!!

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Staff
The breakfast offered a good variety, particularly the pastries. Close to the train station, a plus. Don't skip leaving your bags after checkout for further exploration!

Location: the hotel was really close to the centre of Verona as well as public transport. The breakfast was rich with every taste and pastries and good wine and the restaurant food was fabulous.

The nearness to the station and airport shuttle bus.
Hotel Piccolo and Martini were one and the same hotel but this was not clear and made it less easy to find. Breakfast was ok but have had better and room and shower were very small although contained everything you need.
